Student Health Fee Letter
Revised 6/24/25
Your health is important to us.
Your health is of utmost importance to us. Your physical and emotional wellbeing significantly affects not only your academic performance but also every aspect of your life at Liberty University. Ensuring you have convenient access to necessary healthcare, along with preventive care, can make a substantial difference. This will eliminate the need to delay seeking medical attention due to financial concerns.
In the Fall of 2016, Liberty University, in collaboration with its counseling program, partnered with the nationally recognized CVFP Medical Group to provide students with high-quality medical and mental health services, health promotion, and preventive care.
A $170.00 student health fee included in your tuition and fees each semester will cover a comprehensive range of services at our Student Health Center, including:
- Office visits with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants
- Acute care visits
- In-office lab testing and diagnostics (including blood draws, EKGs, and basic x-rays)
- Annual physical exams
- Chronic disease management for conditions such as asthma, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, and other long-term illnesses
- Coordination of care with specialists
- Preventive care visits
- Nutritional and health coaching
- Counseling services provided by LU Counseling and Psychological Services (LU CAPS)
- Unlimited visits to the Student Health Center
The aforementioned services are available to all full-time residential students and will be delivered by licensed physicians, midlevel providers, nurses, x-ray technicians, medical assistants, and/or counselors dedicated to your health and wellness.
We believe that every student should have the ability to seek the quality care they require without delay. This program aims to eliminate many costs not covered by primary health insurance, such as co-pays and co-insurance.
Certain specialized lab work, procedures, and/or diagnostic tests may fall outside the scope of the services provided and incur an additional fee. Patients will be responsible for covering charges for excluded services. Please refer to the website for a detailed list of these services.
Efforts will be made to minimize costs, with additional charges not covered by your Student Health Fee billed directly to your primary health insurance through CVFP Medical Group's central billing office. Therefore, it is essential that we keep your primary health insurance information updated in our system at each visit.
Liberty University is committed to your good health and ensuring the healthcare you need is accessible when you need it.
